8 Months 4-25-16

Hello family and friends! How are you all doing? I hope you are all doing great and are enjoying the spring weather! It is starting to get cold here which is actually quite nice for a change!

This week was another great week! Lately we have been working a lot more with the members following counsel from our mission president and our ward mission leader. We were given the promise that as we work as hard as we can with the members and set apart some of our time to work more closely with them we will be able to find more investigators and that they will start coming to us. This week we literally had people knock on our door to want to know more about our message and it was an answer to prayers and really amazing! I know that our leaders have revelation and inspiration that is specifically for us, to guide us and help us understand better the will of God. I invite all of you to find one or two ways that you can sustain or follow the leaders you have in order to be able to receive the blessings that Heavenly Father has for each and every one of you!

We are preparing for a baptism this Saturday and we are all super excited about it! I can´t wait to let you all know how it goes this coming Monday!

Sorry for the short email but I hope you all have a great week! Love and miss you all!

April 11, 2016

Family and friends,

Sorry for not writing the past couple of weeks! Things in the offices have been very busy and even on p-days I have had a lot of work! I am very grateful for the opportunity the Lord has given me to be here and to serve the other missionaries in this mission. I have learned so much from being here and know those things and this time will bless me throughout my life!

We as a companionship have been really blessed lately! We have been able to see lots of miracles lately! One of these miracles comes from working with the members. We have a family who is kind of less active but have very strong testimonies. They now have a niece and a nephew who are living with them from Peru. The nephew recently returned from his mission and is super awesome! He has helped us a lot and has helped his family a lot in returning to the church. The niece is not a member. We taught a lesson a couple of weeks ago and it did not go as we were planning. She declined the invitation to read the Book of Mormon and just didn´t seem that interested. She continued to come to church with the family but we were not able to have another lesson with her until this week. She told us she has been reading from the Book of Mormon and had a really spiritual experience with prayer this past week. She is really progressing and you can see the difference in her attitude and her overall happiness. I love being able to see the change the gospel brings in peoples lives! I am very excited for her baptism on the 23rd and know we will have a lot of work to help her be ready for that date but I know she will be ready. I am so grateful for the emphasis we have made as a mission on working with the members and I know this will help strengthen them and help us have more teaching opportunities and find worthy converts. I challenge you all to search for missionary opportunities! I know we always say it but it is time to stop talking about what we are going to do and to start doing it! I know you all are great at this and I invite you to keep doing what you are doing and keep letting your light of Christ shine to all. As you do this people we see this light and be attracted to it. Then comes your opportunity to share your knowledge of the restored gospel. I promise you that it will bless not only their lives but your lives as well! I know that you will be able to see these miracles as well as you share your testimonies with everyone!

I hope everything is going great for all of you! I love and miss you all so much and hope you have a great week! Talk to you soon!
